I take it you did your own research on the organization that puts on this event and decided it didn’t conflict with your personal philosophy. My earlier comment on your previous post was made simply to let you know what at least one other person/group was saying about the event; I have no knowledge of anything the Emirates LitFest organizers may or may not be connected to, politically or economically or otherwise. Two things I learned as a journalist that have stood me in good stead over the years are “Consider the source” and “Do your own research.” They’ve kept me out of trouble more than once. :-) Looks like you had a good time in Dubai.
