3. Pythons and boas and doing hella damage in the Glades and have been for years. Escaped pets and deliberate dumping caused it, as well as hurricane-damaged habitats. Snake hunters attempting to halt the spread and cash in (Fla. has cash bounty on snake hides) but the repro rate of snakes outpaces the number of hunters. Snake hunting ain’t easy. Gators not much help either. Serious mess.
