Or . . . doesn’t Pynchon call it the ‘yo-yo’ in V., maybe? The Only Good Indians, first being one thing, then another—both of which I like. I mean, it’s kind of a werewolf, yes? Shine the right light on it, it becomes #1 in horror. Under a different light, it’s #1 in Native lit.
