Upcoming Events
At least . . . I don’t know: they SHOULD all still be ‘upcoming?’ But I’ve missed a thing or three lately, so, you know, probably safer to just say ‘events that either already happened, are currently happen, or are maybe soon to happen’:
Recent Events & Interviews
And, man, there’ve been a few . . . thus the big dip in updates here at DT. But, trying to catch up: Functional Nerds Guessing this one’s posted somewhere:
Notre Dame
Doing a thing there this week: more here: https://english.nd.edu/events/2020/09/09/creative-writing-reading-series-ft-stephen-graham-jones/
Humanity in Horror panel
Was such a great time. Didn’t get recorded, won’t get posted, but, here’s the poster, and a couple of tweets, anyway: And, as happens, I was wearing a new mask for a bit of it:
Your/My (Our?) Favorite Monsters
At Scares that Care. Could be the recording shows up at some point? And, thanks to Tracy for the pic:
Arts & Letters discussion, coming soon . . .
But, until then, the—because it was in California—early tremors:
This week’s elky events, in order
Tuesday: With Rebecca Roanhorse and the editor we both work with, Joe Monti Wednesday: At Madstreet Books Wednesday: with Tod Goldberg, at UCR Thursday: With Pam Houston Saturday: Scares that Care: Some more stuff going on next week, but . . . that’s next week’s (elky) post.
Paul and Me at The Strand
A bookstore whose aisles I’ve only ever walked. Well, guess I’ve visited the register pretty extensively as well. Think I still got some Strand shirts in my closet from the last swing through NYC. This time, it’s with Paul, and it’s virtual:
Boulder Bookstore Event
Which? I’m one of like maybe TWO writers with books out now that are getting to DO an actual in-store event. But, as stara-agent Sara Megibow says, it was safe: The podcast-version of it should be available before too long. Until then, a few more snapshots:
Night Worms!
Always so cool to hang out with Josh, with Sadie: “Preorders will begin on MONDAY, JUNE 22ND AT 8AM PST . Includes: Goodie Bag + Hardcover Malerman +. Early SGJ release exclusively for Night Worms! And more!”
