Ten-Minute Slasher

I guess this has been live at Nightfire for a day or two or three already, but I’m just now listening. Supercool. This is one that works best out-loud, just like this:

More Mestizos

The actual cover of the Spanish version of Mongrels. This is just how they look in my head. I think that might actually be a painted-over snapshot of Darren, dragging in at first light:

Research

for a thing I’m, you know, figuring out on the page:

Another Psych movie!

Couldn’t be more excited. I mean, I even blew my one exclamation point for this month up in that subject line, yes?

Russian Drama

Hey, looks like I’m not the first to use “Night of the Mannequins” as a title. Really dig the song, the story:

Lost & Kind of Found?

Did a search yesterday for something I’d maybe said in an interview. Don’t remember my search turns, but I found a lot of stuff I don’t know for sure if it’s archived/linked here or not. So, on the chance it’s not—all stuff I’m in: “Five Native American Authors You Must Read“ “Six Metafictional Horror Books

Midnight Caller

Got a cool audio thing with Nightfire’s audio anthology, out momentarily: My story’s, of course, slasherific:

Wolfen / Projection Booth

One of the all-time good times, for me: talking to really smart, with-it people about a werewolf movie? Or, about if it is even IS a werewolf movie? Couldn’t have been better. Like the song says, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world:

NYCC Recapsalot

After some particularly poor planning left me eating a random protein bar for breakfast and about twelve almonds for lunch, I immediately, upon checking into my hotel, ranged out and lucked onto . . . I think it was Hill Country Chicken? Which is my kind of place: pump your own ketchup, Doobie Brothers on

Early-Early

This is way uncorrected, kind of the NYCC preview of the coming ARC, which is much fancier, but, man, is it ever cool to hold:

NYCC 19

Those Were the Days

From . . . man, about 2005 until maybe 2011? 2012? there were so many of us there. Pre-Facebook, sort of alongside MySpace and the other bulletin boards (I remember being somewhat active on Shock-Waves too—think that’s what it was called). Anyway, just dredged this up from an ancient-old folder. Cool to see it again.

13th

Had no idea when I put this Scream shirt on Wednesday that I’d be getting tv-interviewed at lunch. But, was cool. And, luckily they edited me down so I don’t come off as ridiculolus as I most assuredly was:
