100% agree with this. And, in addition, I so like stabbing a colon down at the END of a balloon, then putting that post–colon matter in the NEXT balloon (usually with a bridge between the two balloons). However, I found out pretty quickly that I’m the only one who’s a proponent of that. But . . . I’ll find a way.

Comics writers, if you END a balloon with a ellipsis, and the idea continues into a 2nd balloon, it's standard practice amongst almost all mainstream publishers to BEGIN the 2nd balloon with an ellipsis. Same goes for double dashes. (I end up correcting a million of these.)
